NovaTorque technology is well-suited for battery-powered, off-grid, electric vehicles and other devices readily scalable to higher torque and speed. The energy efficiency of the NovaTorque motor provides for either longer battery life or the use of smaller batteries.
The PremiumPlus+™ motor naturally lends itself to low voltage, high current, power supply. The high power density allows the motor to fit in locations where competing motors will not. The use of non-rare-earth ferrite magnets keeps costs down and supply assured.

In all the applications just listed, energy efficiency is highly valued, as it extends the life and range of the battery. Although induction motors are commonly applied in these applications, permanent magnet motors are a better solution because of their higher efficiency, more compact packaging, and lighter weight. The downside is their significantly higher cost, due largely to the high and rapidly rising cost of rare earth magnets. NovaTorque’s all-ferrite magnet design provides a more cost-effective solution, along with a more assured supply.
Additionally, the Company’s aluminum foil winding design is ideal for the lower supply voltages associated with battery-powered applications.
