About NovaTorque
NovaTorque, Inc, a Silicon Valley start-up, has developed a disruptive electric motor technology which is a major breakthrough in the $30 billion motor industry. The founders, John Petro, Don Burch, and Ken Wasson had developed a deep understanding of motors and of magnetics from earlier product design efforts. The technology grew from the confluence of several factors: improved magnetic modeling, availability and affordability of new magnetic materials, and a strong desire to develop a super-efficient motor.
The first generation of the NovaTorque motor was introduced at the SMMA technical conference in October 2005. This was followed up with other presentations in 2006 and 2007, with each generation providing better performance and higher efficiency than the earlier one. In 2007, the company also focused on developing manufacturing processes which are specifically focused on fabricating the unique structure of the NovaTorque motor for a competitive cost.
Mission Statement
