Motor Design and Engineering Services

NovaTorque, Inc provides comprehensive Engineering Design Services to clients who wish to utilize NovaTorque motor technology in a specific  application. Clients may choose from a full range of services depending on their own in-house capabilities, but a typical development might consist of the following phases:

Phase I -- Concept Development

NovaTorque works with the client to understand their application and then develop one or more motor concepts. The motor concept is then modeled using state of the art magnetic, mechanical and thermal software tools to predict the performance to be expected from the concept. The resulting models and performance projections are reviewed with the client.

Phase II -- Prototype Development

NovaTorque works with the client to develop detailed specifications for the selected motor concept. A prototype motor is designed, fabricated using NovaTorque's rapid prototyping facility, and tested for performance. The resulting prototype and test results are provided to the client for their further evaluation.

Phase III -- Engineering Model Development

NovaTorque works with the client to develop detailed specifications for the motor as it needs to be configured to fit the target application. An Engineering model motor is designed, fabricated using NovaTorque's rapid prototyping facility, and tested for performance. Then one or more of the Engineering models are provided to the client for integration into their target application or product.
